New Cardiologist Joins Aspirus in the Upper Peninsula

We are pleased to welcome cardiologist Mohammad Jan, MD, FACC to AspirusBefore coming to the Upper Peninsula, Dr. Jan was in private practice in the Ohio cities of Dayton and Springfield where he specialized in office cardiology, stress testing, echocardiography, nuclear stress testing and diagnostic cardiac catheterization.
With his extensive experience, Dr. Jan is will be providing comprehensive cardiac care to patients in the Upper Peninsula. Having a local cardiologist increases access to cardiology services, helping patients better manage their health conditions. The addition of Dr. Jan further supports the mission of Aspirus to support excellent, compassionate care in the Upper Peninsula.
Patients can see Dr. Jan in his primary office at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital four days a week. He will also travel to Ontonagon one day a week for patient care. His practice will be supported by nurse Gail Koskiniemi RN, and receptionist Korynn Kotajarvi at the cardiology clinic office at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium.
Dr. Jan received his medical degree from Khyber Medical College in Peshawar, Pakistan in 1967. He completed his residency at the VA Hospital in Brooklyn, NY in 1972 and his fellowship in cardiology at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia in 1973 and at Kettering Medical Center, Kettering, OH in 1974.
Among his numerous recognitions, Dr. Jan is a member of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Society of CT Angiography and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology and is Vascular certified.
